Cleanliness standards and services

we all know that cleanliness is a top priority for repeat business in hospitality industry.if you go to a hotel with a poor standard of cleanliness one is likely not to ever go back again. i have recently been watching this program on television (the hotel inspector), it scores the concerned participants  how there hotels are clean, to be honest most bed and breakfast hotels in Europe and  Britain are up to standard as i think because of the competition on market Compared to where i come from, some B&B have so poor cleaning standard, where by they don't even change the bedding's from a previous visit. According to the show which is mend to find faults and the research i have done the faults are minimal eg finding hair in the bathroom or on the bedding to me i have spend nights in hotel and B&B and it was spot on so those small mistakes can slip while one is cleaning.

According to a survey by (Richard Haworth) 320 people were surveyed, it found out that 60% had been forced to complain about the cleanliness standards of their hotel room. the most important places when we go to a hotel, we first look at the bed sit and bounce then we check the bathroom, towels etc and the impression we get of the hotel reception and entrance tells it all. T o ensure cleanliness detailed audits are of important for management to monitor what is been done in terms of cleaning and what need to be done more frequently. We all believe a feed back from the guests can really improve the cleanliness of a hotel.

The hospitality industry is a very competitive industry and for a customer to be satisfied is a big challenge of the business, so over all cleanliness is of very important role above all areas then the rest follows. Who wants to walk in a hotel or restaurant that stinks? one will immediately go back and want to spend there money on a stinky bedding's, bathroom etc.
